Clinical Product Specialist - Toronto and surrounding area

The selected candidate will preferably be trained as a registered veterinary technician (RVT) or equivalent.
Both entry level and those with field experience will be considered.
A good understanding of anaesthesia and monitoring techniques is a definite asset.
Some equipment service and training will be provided to our high standards.

The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with good communication and technical skills including the ability to work and build a sales territory with limited supervision.
Must be willing to work irregular hours, travel Ontario and occasionally out of province.
The position includes the opportunity to work trade shows and training events.
Fluency in written and spoken French is an asset.

DUTIES

Cold call prospects that are generated by external lead sources.
Collaborate with VP of Sales and Sales reps to determine necessary strategic sales approaches.
Maintain and expand the company’s database of prospects.
Ensure follow-up with calls-to-action, dates, complete profile information, sources and so on.
Set up and deliver sales presentations, product/service demonstrations and other sales actions.
Assist in creating RFP responses to potential clients.
Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trades shows, exhibits, and other events.
Make outbound follow-up calls to existing customers via telephone and e-mail cross-sell and up-sell. Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales.
Overcome objections of prospective customers.
Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.
Coordinate customer training as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

High level of integrity and work ethic.
Self motivated with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
Strong knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices and techniques.
Success in qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision makers.
Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
Exceptional verbal and written communication with confident presentation skills. French is an asset.
Excellent listening skills.
Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures.
Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Excel programing.
Ability to occasionally travel and attend sales events and exhibits as required.
Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
Experience with customer relationship management software. (Salesforce, SugarCRM , etc.)
